Free Bike Register marking events in Kettering
Broughton Parish Council
Officers from the Kettering Town Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding FREE BIKE REGISTER MARKING EVENTS in the Kettering Town Neighbourhood Policing Team Office, located in the lower section of the London Road Car Park (Next to the Council Offices), London Road, Kettering.
The events will be held on:
- Saturday 27th January 2024 between 10AM & 3PM
- Saturday 3rd February 2024 between 1PM & 5PM
There will also be a limited number of Master Lock – Cycle D Locks given away on a first come first serve basis to anyone who is having the Bike Register Marking done, one per cycle and maximum of two per household.
The Bike Register Marking Kits and the D-Locks have been kindly funded and supplied to us by North Northants Council Community Safety Team.
If you have a Pedal Cycle that you would like to have registered on THE NATIONAL CYCLE DATABASE for free, please feel free to come along to this event.
The process involves applying two identical QR Coded stickers to the cycle frame which are entered onto The National Cycle Bike Register Database along with the owner’s name, home address, email address, the bikes serial / frame number, make, model, colour, distinguishing features such as any damage or non-standard equipment fitted. A photo of the bike is also taken and added to the database. Owner can add further photos via the Bike Register App and their account, as well as allowing them to amend the owner, address and description details of the cycle should they change.
Please be aware that cycle owners will need to provide a valid email address for their Bike to be registered.
