Broughton Parish Council are delighted to announce the opening of the new phone box village library today.

After BT decommisssioned the iconic red phone box, Broughton Parish Council acquired it in 2018 when the previous clerk paying a nominal fee, gifted it to the village. The Parish Councillors have since been busy cleaning, repairing and painting the phone box and have now fitted it with a book shelf and books ready for exchanges.

Residents are encouraged to take books there which are no longer needed and pick one or two up as well.

We really hope you enjoy this new facility within our village.
