Broughton Parish Council installed a new Speed Indicator Device (SID) in Kettering Road on Saturday 5th September 2020.

The Parish Council were delighted with the new addition they were able to purchase by securing a Road Safety Community Grant which was awarded in July from the Northamptonshire Safer Road Alliance (NRSA) in conjunction with the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Northamtonshire.

The SID will move around the village in a bid to raise awareness of the speed limits through the village and improve road safety by reminding approaching vehicles of their speed.

This is phase one of a bigger traffic calming project the parish council will be undertaking to increase improvements in road safety to enable Broughton to be a safer, better place to live.
